About the Rescue
Founded in 2006, we are a not-for-profit volunteer-run organisation dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming Basset and Basset mixes.
While we are based in Calgary and primarily rescue hounds from the prairie provinces, our rescue network extends throughout North America.
In addition to rescuing homeless hounds, we strive to promote quality and compassionate care of Basset Hounds through education and community awareness.
We operate entirely on donations and cash raised through fundraising ventures, and every penny goes to the care of our charges.
